Popular Haute Couture brands have been taking inspiration from all over the world and Patchwork has caught the attention of many designers. Various high end brands like Dior, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana released their collections heavily influenced by patchwork.

Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection was heavily inspired by patchwork, using different styles and techniques to showcase stunning dresses, pants and jackets made completely out of scrap fabrics.

Viktor & Rolf made stunning designs using their leftover fabrics. Since their inventory was all used up, they resorted to archives of fabric swatches sent their suppliers. They wanted to make something new, thus coming up with idea of using patchwork as their inspiration. They wanted to combine fierceness with sweetness and patchwork was a great outlet for them to channel their vision.
